Qualcomm will soon introduce its new version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mid-range chipset, and the latest reports have revealed that the chip will compete with the Dimensity 8100 chip in the market.
New Snapdragon 7 series chip performance numbers are promising. It sits below Snapdragon 870 but a little higher than the Dimensity 1200 in performance.
Can see atleast 3 phones using it this quarter. This might turn out to be the next in-demand chip for mid-range phones.
And the latest leaks have indicated that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip comes with an upgrade to the company’s current Snapdragon 778G chip, which is the mid-range that competes with the Dimensity 8100 chip.
Qualcomm is also expected to replace the Snapdragon 778G Plus chip with its new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in the market.
Leaks that came on the Twitter platform via “Yogesh Brar” also indicated that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip comes with higher performance than the Snapdragon 870 chip and less than the Dimensity 1200 chip from MediaTek.
On the other hand, the Dimensity 8100 chip has performance at the level of the Snapdragon 888 chip, so the MediaTek chip may outperform the upcoming Qualcomm version.
